Why run an eczema supplement poll?
Research on supplements for eczema is limited, so this poll collects real-world experiences at scale.
The scientific research for whether supplements help eczema (atopic dermatitis) is limited, and the number of clinical trials is even smaller. Still, many people swear that supplements have helped their eczema or other chronic conditions. That’s not surprising when you consider how many confounding factors are involved—diet, stress, sleep, weather, skincare, infections, and genetics—and the fact that there’s little financial incentive to run large trials on generic supplements.
As a data scientist, this is frustrating, especially since I personally know people who’ve tried supplements with mixed results. That’s why I’m running these polls. Instead of relying only on small clinical studies, we can learn from people who live with eczema every day. One person’s experience isn’t proof, but at scale, real-world data can reveal patterns and help others decide whether a supplement is even worth trying.
